Not sure what to do - I like your chat, but I have not tried it a lot. What would be the advantages?
The one we have here is part of the forum already.
The Shoutbox is perfect for quick visits and the ability to post a quick shout on the main page or wherever you have it placed. The chat room wouldnt replace it. The chat room lets you see whos online and engaged in the chat at that moment. People can make their own rooms to discuss a topic or to talk in real time in private if they want. Permanent rooms can be created for all the popular sections...Hooks, Herms, DLDclan, Redeemer Insanity etc etc. No one would need to remember a password to use it, just supply a Name and youre in. Of course it would only be visible to members only . Thats how I envisioned it would be used....I think it would be a neat addition to the new Hooks UT Place. Its an exclusive chat room too meaning it was installed and maintained by me on my server. No Ads and no costs involved, you wouldnt have to do anything, you already have youre plate full. I also have another project that Im workign on too thats not quite ready... its another cool thing to add to the new Hooks, again Hosted and maintained by me for all to enjoy. Its my way to help contribute to the new site and make Hooks the best place to be.
After reading these posts about that chat room, I am definitely leaning (a lot) towards using it. I am not yet sure as how to "install" it - a link? How do I keep it for members only? (logged in members) (I have some ways but still thinking)
Also, as stated elsewhere, we are limited as to picture and file storage, such as attached files. (200 MB total) Another problem for another thread.
FYI - this whole line of posts about the chatroom, etc. should be on another thread. (which I may start and move some of these posts over to it)

Working out a file sharing bug at the moment....Server not letting files be saved to temporary directory.....hmmm.....
