The PirateDeemerCMM014 - OPERATION ...
Hello friends!
The Newest Redeemer version on {CMM}...
One thing to keep in mind here is that this new redeemer mod is all ONE (1) redeemer mod that can be set up in almost ANY configuration using settings in its .ini file.
So, the "boom" can be adjusted to about Any Size you want. Small or Large or somewhere in between.
We can adjust virtually ANY aspect of this mod to whatever you want.
So far, the .ini file has Over 70+ settings (just for the Redeemer part) for this mod - and that does Not even include the settings for the chat censor part of this mod called "Pirate Talk" that keeps the chat clean of most cuss words etc., words that other servers such as "MRS" promote.
Yep, this mod Does have just about everything!
That being said, we should Never be accused of "copy-catting" ANY server's redeemer mod, (NO Need!) that would for sure and certainly be a "Moot Point" and totally UN-true, simply because this mod does just about anything, already.
Already there are probably a few things being COPIED from our earlier versions 004, 006, 011 and now the current 014 that is on {CMM}, by others, like adjusting the speed - *ahem*. (Edit: yep "they" *cough MRS cough* COPIED our speed adjusting now also!)
But their missile is very limited in speed adjustments so nothing too bad, as they cannot adjust their speed as much as our CMM mod is able to, not nearly as much LOL, and it is not a worry at all. LOL. 8) Who cares LOL
They can NOT copy Our EXCITEMENT and the rest of the whole mod! (they better not!)
Anyway, Below is an Outline of the OPERATION (use) of the current PirateDeemerCMM, version 014, the Our NEW and Innovative Redeemer for the Next Decade that is Based on our Basic (but already Innovative) Original PirateDeemerCMM mod.
In other words, this is basically How to Use it.
OK - so READ the following Information and see how things work on the New Deemer - SO Far!...
(I can tell you, as you may well already know if you tried {CMM} lately, that things are really Working Smoothly, like a Well Oiled Machine in the new version 011 - Already! and Now version 012 also!)
This mod just keeps getting Better and Better and works Flawlessly!
(even though gopostal and MEAT keep saying it is "crap" and "doesn't work" in an Attempt to cut it down) NOT!!!

PirateDeemerCMM Version 014 - Player Operation
============================================
Basic Firing Modes ... (so far - more MAY be coming in future)
1) Primary Firing (Left Mouse Click)
Depress (One Click) the Left Mouse key momentarily <- Fires a Single Missile.
Hold the Left Mouse button down and the Missiles fire in Automatic Succession.
This "Automatic Succession" can be slow, somewhere medium or fast, depending on how it is set in the ini file for Each Configuration.
This New Feature, that is EXCLUSIVE to OUR new mod only, the "Adjustable" Firing Rate, (Only on {CMM} - so far), is a Really Good one that works Awesomely in several of the Configurations, like in "STINGER II", "THOMPSON" and also in "The CREEPER"!
It really makes it a lot more interesting!
2) Alternate Firing (Alt-Fire)(Right Mouse Click)
This has three (3) modes with the older versions 012 and 013, and four (4) modes now with the New version 014, depending on which weapon mode you are using at the moment.
This is also set up in the ini file by the server admin as to which mode(s) are available to the players.
(See "Switching Configurations" below)
The 3 available Alt-Fire modes are as follows.
A) Ride the Missile ("Ride-N-Guide" similar to the normal stock Redeemer - virtually)
NEW for the 012 version and above: We can now adjust the SPEED of the Ride-N-Guide, so you can really chase down those hard to get opponents!
Most of the guide modes are set at faster speeds than stock guide speed - FYI - so be careful - it takes some practice now.

B) Zooming Sniper View (Our Own Custom "zoom-view" scope version)
This mainly just helps you see far distances in Large Maps and also helps you aim in some situations.
This cool feature was derived from the stock sniper rifle scope but with our own cool Custom Unique additions like no other.
A number of weapon mods out there have this useful feature, so we decided that this mod should not be left out, but we made ours a bit different and unique - Cool! 8)
and
C) Lob or Lobbing (Our Own New "lob the shells" addition for the 012 version)
* (more to come on this totally adjustable new alt-fire mode feature) *
More now...
A new feature - these redeemers can be set to Lob the shells, so they fly and bounce around corners, etc., similar to the Rocket launcher - WOW! FUN!!!
NO other redeemers can do that - ONLY ours!
Actually, it works virtually just like the Regular Rocket Launcher in UT - except it packs a far bigger Punch and it is all configurable too! - COOL!!!
This "Lob" is an alt-fire mode, like the guide or zoom modes, and is set up on a few of the configurations running now on {CMM}. FUN!
D) PLUS the Custom Radar-Translocator and Custom Radar-Ride-N-Guide of course!
Radar Modes ... (there are 2 so far)
1) Translocator Radar (If it is Set to "ON" by server admin)
Scroll to our own Unique Custom Translocator ("Radar-Trans") to use the Translocator Radar.
(Note: this is NOT the normal Translocator - it is Custom for our mod and Unique to PirateDeemerCMM - another first of many!)
When you are using the Custom Translocator, but not teleporting, you will see all players within the ini file set radar range as radar targets or "blips" as you may call them.
There will be a little cross-hair on each target and underneath that you will see the distance away that target is from you displayed in Map World Units.
These targets show up even through walls and objects in the map, so it is "As The Crow Flies" straight to the target, so to speak.
Radar Targets will show up on your screen in this mode within 7,000 world units range of yourself.
Outside of this 7,000 unit range, as it is Currently set, radar targets do not show up.
(Note: this radar range is adjustable on the latest versions of this mod - 011 and future versions)
All radar targets show the same for the "Radar-Trans" - Bots or Real Players have the same color target readout.
2) Alternate Firing Radar-Ride-N-Guide (If it is Set to "ON" by server admin)
When you execute and Alt-Fire (Right Mouse Click) when in Ride-N-Guide mode, you will acquire radar targets as you ride.
This is all the same as the Translocator Radar described above, but with one COOL difference.
(Note: This is NOT the normal stock Ride-N-Guide Radar mode - it is Custom for our mod and Unique to PirateDeemerCMM - another first of many!)
In this Ride-N-Guide Radar mode, you can see if the radar targets are Bots or Real Players.
Bots are indicated by having Red distance units on the radar targets and Real Players have White distance units displayed.
This way, when you are riding around searching for targets, you won't have to waste your time pursuing a bot.
(MEAT would LOVE this feature LOL - Wait, he DOES Love this feature! - he said he plays CMM many times a week - I am Flattered!!!)
This radar is Not a cheat at all and is Totally Fair because ALL players have it.
(and also because it uses the STOCK redeemer radar code so as not to be a cheat on your system at other servers, so No Worries!)
It is actually Very Useful and Practical also, especially in the Larger maps, so you can find where the action is reasonably soon without wasting tons of time running around a map endlessly looking for others.
It is Very Helpful to New Players too!
Of course the radars (either or both of them) can be turned "ON" or "OFF" separately, and the Radar Range Adjusted also, by the server admin - if desired.
Switching Configurations ...
To switch between Available Configurations in this mod, use your Designated Switch Weapons Hot Keys, or your Mouse Scroll Wheel if set up that way, just as you would rotate between weapons in a regular weapons Death Match game.
IMPORTANT: This is also how you switch to using the Custom Radar Translocator - Same as switching or rotating weapons.
(With our Custom Radar-Translocator you do NOT use your regular translocator hot key)
(NEW - See Helen's Post below about how to set your normal Translocator Hot Key to use BOTH this custom transloc and other translocs! 1 key for Both!)
The Number of "available" configurations in the Scrolling Weapon Rotation is configured by the server admin only.
For Example: You MAY have only the Ride-N-Guide configuration - (1) available to you.
OR - You MAY have the Ride-N-Guide and the Zoom View configurations - (2) available to you.
OR - You MAY have the Ride-N-Guide, the Zoom View, and the Radar Translocator configurations - (3) available to you.
OR - You MAY have other types of configurations available to you such as the New Lob mode - (any number? - Not confirmed! YET)
NOTE: This "Weapon Rotation" is something that I (Hook) came up with and engineered for this New Redeemer mod and it does NOT involve any coding at all.
(Edit: Helen the coder has since refined this feature to work at its best in version 011, 012, and future versions too)
(Note: This is NOT the normal stock operation - it is Custom and Unique to PirateDeemerCMM and our server - another one of our Firsts of many!)
It does this as it is and actually, just about Any mod can be set up this way for different configurations.
It is virtually the Same "Trick" that Helen and I came up with that we use for the medToggle210 map tweaking mod we use in our Servers.
I also once told MEAT about it so he could do it on his server, so he may be doing it also. But to a lesser extent and effect!
Ask me about it if you are interested! - (this "trick" is also posted elsewhere here at HUTP - also see post below)
Each Available Configuration (Except for the Radar-Translocator) has a Special HUD Notation on your screen (in the latest version 011 and now 012 and future) so you can identify which configuration you are using.
For Example: You may rotate to a configuration and the word "BIG-Boom-Ride" may show in your HUD or "BIG-Boom-Zoom" - or maybe "STINGER II Lob" may show up, etc.
The Actual "Name" word, the colors used and the location of the configuration indicator in your HUD is set in the ini file by the server admin for each configuration!
In conclusion ...
This new PirateDeemerCMM mod takes a Ground Breaking All New Direction in the Redeemer Arena world with many Firsts incorporated into it.
This all becomes very easy and "second nature" after a short time using this Fun and Versatile new redeemer weapon mod.
